External Access
External Emergency Egress Handles
- External egress handles are positioned next to all passenger doors. They are coloured RED and have a one-step procedure when operated
- The handle has a break-glass cover and, once pulled fully down, will latch in position
- To reset, simply push the handle back into the closed position. (Note: a carriage ‘T’ Key is not required)
External Butterfly Valves
The Butterfly Valves enable access to the passenger saloon without using the egress handle
- Turn the butterfly valve left (anticlockwise)
- This opens the adjacent door
- Open the train doors using the guard’s panel
- Return the butterfly valve to the horizontal position.
